We build AI-native platforms. One industry at a time.

Ayion builds AI-native platforms that solve real industry problems, and prove it.

Origin

We started with longevity, and hit accountability first.

Every company that lets software act eventually meets the same wall. We met it early, in the one industry where nobody will let you past it.

See JhiOn

Ayion began with JhiOn, a platform where AI agents help people manage their health span: the years lived in good health, not just the years lived. The product idea was the easy part. The moment agents were allowed to prepare a protocol, chase a follow-up or act on a result, three problems arrived at once. Health data that cannot leak. A person, and sometimes a clinician, who has to stay in charge of the decision. And a record of every action an agent took, good enough that somebody else could check it later.

None of those three is a feature. They are the floor. So we built the floor first: identity and policy that say who and what may act, a registry where every action declares what it touches, execution that survives a retry without doing the work twice, and an append-only ledger that keeps the record whether the outcome was good or not.

That floor became Ayion Meru. Once it existed, the same need turned up everywhere we looked. A controller signing off a payment run has the same question as a clinician reviewing a protocol: what exactly was done, under whose authority, and does the system of record agree. The industry changes. The question does not.

So Ayion is a platform company that ships vertical platforms. One platform underneath, built for agents that act and have to be accountable for it. JhiOn is the first vertical built on it, and the reusable parts of each vertical flow back down into the platform.

What AI-native means here

Four things, and we mean them literally.

“AI-native” is doing a lot of unearned work in this industry. Here it means four specific design decisions, each of which rules something out.

  • Agents do the work; people set the limits

Every platform is designed around agents completing bounded tasks under explicit policy. Not around a chat window that suggests things and leaves the doing to you.

  • Evidence by default

Every consequential action is recorded, approved where the policy requires it, and reconciled against what actually changed in the system of record. Recording is not a setting somebody remembers to switch on.

  • Pluggable everywhere

Models, agents, systems, controls and industry packs plug in and swap out without rebuilding the platform. A platform that has to be rewritten for each new model is a project, not a platform.

  • Vertical first

Each platform is built for one industry’s problem, in that industry’s language, with that industry’s controls. The reusable parts flow back into Ayion Meru, which is why the second one costs less than the first.

How we build

A small team, coding agents, and nobody approving their own work.

Coding agents write most of the code here. That changes what a person is for: the specification, the architecture, the controls and the tests. Generated code is read the way third-party code is read, because that is what it is.

Specify People decide what it must do Build Agents implement from the specification Review Read like third-party code Verify Tests, and an external penetration test

Four panels in a row. Specify, where two abstract human figures agree what the software must do. Build, drawn as a stream of small blue squares flowing in and stacking into tidy cards, with no figure at all, because the coding agents are not people. Review, where a figure reads the result the way they would read code from a third party. Verify, where a figure stands beside two green ticks for the tests and the external penetration test.

People own the specification, the review and the tests; the agents own the volume in between.

The loop every change goes through. A change that cannot pass the last column goes back to the first.

StageWhat a person ownsWhat the agents doWhat has to be true to move on
Specify The problem, the interfaces, and the cases where this must refuse to act Nothing yet. A specification precise enough for an agent to implement is written by a person. The specification says what the code must refuse to do, not only what it must do.
Build The architecture the change has to fit inside Implement from the specification in small pieces, against tests that already exist. The change is small enough that a reviewer can hold all of it in their head.
Review Every line, read as third-party code Explain their own diffs and answer questions about them. They never approve them. Somebody who did not write the change has read it and can say what breaks if it is wrong.
Verify The tests, the controls and the evidence the change produces They run the suite and produce the record of the run. Each control has a test that fails when the control is removed.

The one rule we will not trade away

Nothing ships in enforce mode — where a control can block a real action in a customer’s system — without an external penetration test first. Not for a deadline, not for a pilot, not for a demo.

Boilerplate

Ayion builds AI-native platforms that solve real industry problems, and prove it. Underneath them sits one platform, Ayion Meru, in two halves. Meru Run completes bounded work inside a company’s own systems. Meru Assure records, controls and reconciles every consequential action, whichever vendor built the agent that took it. Models, agents, systems, controls and packs plug into a small Core. JhiOn, Ayion’s Longevity & Health Span Management platform, is the first vertical platform built on it.

How our names are written. The first column is the only correct form.
